"...wasn't terribly impressed with was his inability to explain how he expected to accomplish any of the things he has proposed

nor would you be for virtually any acceptance speech..

"...Is there anything I missed or are you like me and questioning how he is going to accomplish any of the promises he has made?

no. i don't think you missed much in that regard...but acceptance speeches are precisely to lay out promises and set an agenda...acceptance speeches are almost always about where you want to go & not so much how you plan to get there...ideally those details will be vetted in the campaigns themselves... i believe if you discern it objectively in the democrat's acceptance next week that you will similarly find a direction and what is desired to be accomplished and not so much actual policy details...

trashing one's opponent is also a traditional gambit in an acceptance speech and i believe that you will also find plenty of that next week...tom p

The Republican National Convention is over and Donald Trump is now officially the Republican nominee for President.

Trump's acceptance speech was heavily focused on domestic and national security issues. He expressed his concern about violence, immigration, and unemployment -- all of which were warmly received by the audience.

If you haven't had a chance to watch the speech then take a few moments (or 75 minutes) to do so.

I thought it was an interesting speech, but one thing I wasn't terribly impressed with was his inability to explain how he expected to accomplish any of the things he has proposed. He made some interesting points, but I just couldn't help but notice that many things he promised were very vague.

Is there anything I missed or are you like me and questioning how he is going to accomplish any of the promises he has made?
