If you wanted to watch the upcoming GOP Presidential debate, but don't have CNN then you are in luck because they will be offering a live stream of the debate online and on mobile devices free of charge.

Individuals normally have to prove they have a cable internet subscription before they can live stream CNN content, but CNN is making an exception for the debate on 9/16. All you have to do is go to CNN.com or download the CNN mobile app and you will be able to watch the entire debate.

CNN announced they are doing this because they want to increase the viewership of the debate and ensure that anyone who wants to watch the debate can do so. I think it's a great idea because there's no better way to increase viewership than making it as easy as possible to watch something.

Really glad to see this. Of course they are banking on the fact that ad revenue will put them well in the red, but still. I am all on board for networks making content free access.

I'm glad it's free. But I'm curious on how they plan to address such broad topics with such a huge field. They have enough time to get a 2 or 3 sentences in before the buzzer dings. How can anyone address the issues of the Middle East in just a minute?

Sorry to tell you but they are lying. They interrupt with a popup where you have to sign in with the cable provider. I will have to go out in the car and hear it on Sirius.
