There doesn't appear to be a cap on the number of dependents allowed, but there is a big difference with the 3rd stimulus check because there is a "hard cap" on who qualifies. Individuals who earn $80,000 or more, HOH who earn $120,000 or more, and couples who earn $160,000 or above will not only be ineligible for a 3rd stimulus check, but they will also get no money for any dependent(s).
That still won't effect the vast majority of people, but it certainly will make it so some people who got the first two stimulus checks won't be getting a third.
