wondering if my choice of bank will affect my stimulus check.

I've been reading reports where customers of JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo have been getting angry because they aren't distributing the checks as quickly as everyone has hoped. I bank with Wells Fargo, and no they aren't perfect (I've thought about changing banks on more than one occasion), but it didn't seem to affect when I got my last check. I'm just wondering if this time will be an exception. Both Chase and Wells Fargo have said that the timing of the payments are outside of their control, and that they will deposit funds as soon as they become available. Has anyone else heard about this?

Saw the same article. I think it comes to down to clearing in the account and the way that the bank classifies the deposit, so it sometimes takes longer to clear and become available. Like you will see it in your account but only as pending and can't use it for a few days. Hopefully won't be too big of an issue for most.

Yeah, I've seen the same thing, and am currently experiencing the same thing. I too hope it doesn't sit there pending for days like everyone is talking about. Definitely could use the money.

Each bank has it's own weird rules about that stuff. I'd just give your bank a call and see what they say.
