That is a really difficult situation. I have read up on the PUA quite a bit, and understand pretty well that the federal govt gave a lot of guidance for the states and expanded unemployment in all kinds of ways for the states, but its ultimately up to the states to approve or deny applications. You can always appeal the decision though, here's that info for Washington state:
Benefit denials and appeals
J.k. thank you for response. The problem is, the PUA claim is considered active so currently no way to appeal the disqualification of funds. I've tried discussing it with them and most were very helpful but the accountant specialist just pawned me off to the fraud department, and the fraid department didnt even look up my info just accused me of fraud and said I lied on application, she claimed that on the claim for it states, "are you physically able and willing to work, in the u tied states," I went back and double checked the form and no where does it say in the united states. So I took screen shots of my claim. And messaged them for clarification. So I'm waiting for a response and so reached out to a non profit unemployment lawyer, and waiting for clarification. I have a feeling im.gonna have to call back the UI office until someone will discuss how I can appeal this.
Thank.you again.
