Please help answer these questions.since 2015 I file head household and claim my child on my tax returns.thur I had to verify 2019 adjusted gross income, refund amount to be verified.then it allowed me to enter direct deposite info for stimulus check,it took it and showed it bank info.
1. 2019 tax return was recv and still processing, will I get child credit on my stimulus ch3ck?
2 does 2019 tax return need be process to recv stimulus check?
Yes you should get a dependent stimulus of $500/child in addition to your stimulus, as long as your dependent is 16 or younger, and your income qualifies you for a stimulus.
If you already filed 2018, sounds like you have, then the IRS can go off of that information. But if you haven't already received your stimulus, that means your 2018 likely didn't include direct deposit information, is that correct? If not they will either use your 2019 bank info once its processed and if you provided it (takes a few weeks), otherwise they will mail you a stimulus check. You can also update your banking info if you didn't include it on your 2018 or 2019 taxes through the IRS portal, once your 2019 return processes.

Darnell Wrote: Hello. I have question on stimulus payment. Ihave always filed my children on my tax returns. For 2019 i did not. I let my exwife file for them. My 2019 taxes were already processed and i received 1200. My exwife filed her 2019 and is still processing. So she will get money for 2018. How will we get the money for our children if mine was processed for 2019 amd hers 2018 which dont have the kids.

Did you already receive your stimulus? If you did, you can still get the $500, but you have to wait until you file your 2020 taxes next year. Far as I know, that's how the IRS is handling issues like this.
If they made an error and didn't send you everything you should have got for the stimulus, then it can be corrected but only when you file 2020 tax return because this stimulus is technically an advance on a tax credit for 2020 filers. And its my understanding they aren't sending multiple checks to anyone.
But they are also sending out letters 15 days after you receive your check and will provide a phone number you can call to attempt to clear up any issues. So maybe they are working on a way to fix errors before then. I'm sure that # will be swamped, but I would attempt to call them and see your options.
