I'm a Social Security Disability recipient and don't file taxes although I thought I was required to do so through the non- filers website and did so. I get an error code message " payment info not found" when checking the portal on IRS website. I get my money direct deposit each month. Did I make a mistake by filing? Will I automatically get $1200? Do I need to do anything?

You didn't make any mistake. The status portal isn't setup right now for non-filers, so it won't show your status correctly. And by and large the status updates are giving a lot of people issues right now regardless.

You should get your stimulus direct deposited automatically into the account or card you currently receive benefits into by May 1st. Though likely sooner, as they are beginning to do deposits for Social Security, RRB and disability recipients April 20th.

I'm actually having the same problem. I'm on disability too and I did the non filers thing too April 11th in order to claim my 3 year old daughter and my 8 month old son. Every time I've checked the check efile status app I keep getting the same message saying its being processed. When I check the get my payment thing it tells me my payment can't be determined at this time... I don't know if I messed up by filing or not.

You should get your stimulus deposited no later than the end of the April. That's what the IRS is saying.

I am not required to file taxes since 2017 I receive social security and a pension every month both of which get direct deposited. So they should have my info for it to be direct deposited. Everytme I check the status of my stimulus payment I get

We are unable to provide the status of your payment right now because:

    • We don't have enough information yet (we're working on this), or
    • You're not eligible for a payment. My wife has received hers she has her own checking account and gets social security also and her stimulus got direct deposited into hers so I do not understand why I have not gotten mine. There is no where to go or call to find out why or if I'm not gonna ever see it, which I should be

I am on SSDI and am nit required to file taxes. I was told not to use the non-filer option so I did nothing. Was told that my stimulus would be via direct deposit as is my monthly benefits. What is wrong with the IRS that they cannot get simple information from SSA? I got a county full of people here in Central Florida who will share this displeasure at the voting booth come November. To not send the stimulus to the disabled shows the culture of thieves in DC.
