If I'm understanding your question correctly, you want to know if a person who receives SSDI but is claimed as a dependent by you (or someone you know) will receive a stimulus check?
Here is what the IRS says on their official stimulus check website:
If you receive these benefits, we already have your information and you will receive $1,200. Do not use this application if you receive:
- Social Security retirement, disability (SSDI), or survivor benefits
- Railroad Retirement and Survivor Benefits
Special note: People in these groups who have qualifying children under age 17 can use this application to claim the $500 payment per child.
If I understand it correctly, SSDI beneficiaries do not need to do anything unless there is an unclaimed child under aged 17 living in the household.
However, if you meant to say SSI benefits instead of SSDI then there may be some additional steps you need to take. If someone currently on SSI who has a dependent (not someone who is claimed as a dependent) that hasn't been claimed then they will need to head to the IRS stimulus check website and enter their information.
I hope this helps.
