When I went onto my account 3/17 It said to reactivate my account so I did. I got payment for 1 week.
Second week I requested 3/22-3/28. On 3/29. I went to request benefits and said I need to apply, so I did. It also told me to start requesting benefits starting 4/6 for the prior week. I did but it says I am not authorized to receive payment.
I understand this is hard for everyone but this is ridiculous, I have been unemployed since 3/13. I have been nothing but patient, I tried calling at the designated time today and it just hangs up on me everytime. Why did i have to reactivate and then tell me I need to apply 2 weeks later. I am so lost and frustrated. Now I am back to square one.
From what it sounds like to me without knowing all of the info of course, is maybe there was a lapse in your applying. I'm almost certain that you have to apply weekly for the benefits, no matter which state you live in. So if you went over the 7-day time period it probably asked you to reactivate your account, which then it would take another week to receive the funds.
I'm in no way at all blaming it on you, of course. Just offering another look at it to maybe help catch the issue.
I've also seen that it's very difficult to get someone on the phone at the call centers right now. I'm sure it's extremely frustrating, but hang in there and keep trying. Unfortunately right now there's no alternative. The system is flooded but it will level out soon.
