What Happens When Neither Candidate Gets 270 Electoral Votes

    How do you feel about the House of Reps deciding the presidential candidate, if neither candidate reaches the necessary 270 electoral votes? Well, we are in a situation where that could very well happen. It's a distinct possibility that both Trump and Clinton only get 269 electoral votes a piece. Then there will be a recount in some close states (maybe). And then the decision will go to the House of Reps for the final call.

    I wonder if this happens, if it will cause a serious backlash on how electing the president of the US actually works. We have already seen serious backlash with how primaries work. I do wonder if backlash though would ever result in serious change. My guess is no.
