Algorithms Might Soon Revolutionize VA Benefits

Far from a foregone conclusion, but still. This is kind of exciting for the VA department. For being maybe the #1 most notoriously fumbled deparment in all the land, using algorithmic software to best match applicants with services, sorting data with super computers, sounds like a long time coming revolution to me.

Back logged and embarrassingly slow Veteran's Affairs services could one day soon be sped up, lightning fast. IF... they digitize all records AND implement the software, a software hierarchy system that will be hard as hell to write. Unless they get lucky and write something elegantly simple... yeah.. I have my doubts.

Still, thoughts on this? VA WANTS TO FORECAST VETS BENEFITS WITH PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS

This or something along these lines needs to happen asap. Computers, servers, cloud based databases, etc. have all been around for far too long to still have mounds of VA paper documents sitting in boxes all scattered and isolated, all across the country.

Agreed, paper documents are antiquated and wasteful. They probably cost more than they are worth. Just think about storage fees and what not.
